My name is Anne M. a mother of three boys and one girl. I come from Uganda. I am serving a life sentence at Langata women’s prison. I have been in prison for eight years. So far, I have cross stitched three pieces. Carakana has brought us together regardless of nationality and tribe. Cross stitching has kept me calm and has made given me purpose. I have been able to send money home to my children and support them in school.
